Prince of Wales and S.E. Alaska fishing report Kingfisher Lodge in Craig Alaska for July 21st and 22nd, 2012. The 21st sport fishing for silver salmon was very good as all boats were limiting on them early in the day and trollers are doing very well as far as can be told. King salmon were a bit slimmer as we landed only 3 King salmon for 14 anglers at Kingfisher Lodge but landed limits of silvers, halibut and rock fish.

July 22nd started out slower for Silver salmon but got good as the day or tide progressed landing a total of 8 King salmon and limits of silvers, halibut and bottom fish. Chatter on the radio was all boats were limiting on silvers and King salmon were probably 2 per boat with a few big ones being caught. Weather for the day was better than we all expected with flat calm water on the ocean as the forcast was for 20 knots NW winds. We expect that Alaska salmon fishing will continue to improve as the season progresses.
